Becoming A Millionaire In America – What Can We Learn From The One Minute Millionaire?
Mark Victor Hansen’s “One Minute Millionaire” may be the reason I do what I do today. It may be because on page 17 of the hardbound edition he skillfully made me understand that there truly are only 4 ways to become a millionaire. He encourages the reader to “choose your Millionaire mountain”.
“Imagine yourself in a conversation with yourself 5 years from now and try these words on for size:
1. I made my Millions in the stockmarket
2. I made my Millions in real estate
3. I made my Millions in business
4. I made my Millions on the Internet. “
For me the choice was clear. I knew that if I really wanted to become wealthy I would have to embrace whatever mountain I chose 100 percent. I knew I’d have to want to succeed more than I wanted breathing. So it would have to be more than a question of honor or greed it would have to be a question of passion. I would have to become relentless.
I think the book is so brilliant because we can look at those 4 “millionaire mountains” and probably discard at least two of them right off the bat. Look at them: aren’t there more or less two that repel you and two that you quite like? As a matter of fact isn’t there at least one “millionaire mountain” that really get’s your juices flowing? Some think that selfhelp literature is just a bunch of fluff however most of these folks also don’t have the type of success people enjoy that fill their minds with “rich mental protein”. Within a splitsecond we can gain focus. Within a splitsecond we can find direction. Just releasing our mental brakes can propel us in the direction of our dreams. Or make us dream like weve never dreamed before.
Mark Victor Hansen has often partnered with Jack Canfield “Chicken Soup For The Soul”. To me it doesn’t come as a surprise that Jack Canfield has coauthored a book named: “You’ve got to read this book”.
