Are You Experienced Enough To Start A Home Business?

The business gurus will tell you: if you start with what you know your chances of success will be much greater. Okay but suppose you want to try something new something drastically different from your present career or a business that is way outside the your realm of experience? Should having no knowledge of that business stop you from pursuing it?
My answer is a resounding ‘No!’ You can start cold turkey and still be wildly successful.

When trying to make a decision about starting your own business you will find yourself asking one of these questions:

* “How much experience do I need to start a home business?”
* “Do I have enough experience to start a home business?”

Textbook don’t answer these questions. You can either go ahead hoping for the best or you can go slowly analyzing every little step.

It is possible to go from being a bricklayer to a successful Internet Guru. There are true stories of partially educated teenagers who stumble on to a bright idea and become wildly successful.

A growing number of stayathome moms travel way out of their comfort zones into the untried world of business. Yet without prior preparation or knowledge of the world they were entering met with stunning success. It is just a matter of how willing you are to take risks and educate yourself.

Stone Evans had no knowledge of the Home Business Industry when he started working as an affiliate yet he persevered. Now his PlugInProfit Sites are famous and I’m sure he is enjoying his wellearned success.

One of the important personal traits of an entrepreneur is the willingness to explore new horizons take risks and accept responsibility for the risks taken. An entrepreneur needs to be good at selfmotivation or have the characteristic that gets and keeps a person moving even when things seem dismal. It is this trait that will enable you to continue despite drawbacks like very little capital lack of education or limited experience.

Don’t get me wrong; knowledge and expertise are important. Studies have shown that lack of business experience is one of the major reasons for the failure of any business. So if you are the kind of person who likes to analyze your options then take time to evaluate all the factors then stick with your preferences.

If you think that you need more business experience there are a number ways to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for your venture. You can scour the Internet for education packages or you could choose to get onthejob training to give you some handson experience in your field of interest by teaming up with someone who already has an online business. There are definite advantages to working with someone else in your industry of choice. You “earn as you learn” while you increase your chances of becoming known online which makes it much easier when you decide to go it alone.

Approach obstacles like learning how to run a home business or a new aspect of home business management as an exciting challenge and meet the challenge headon. Many of the successful entrepreneurs who started their ventures did so without fully understanding the mechanics involved like them you must motivate yourself to learn whatever is necessary to accomplish your goals.

Take the initiative! Learn everything you can about your prospective business the product or service that you plan to sell the niche you are thinking of entering your competition and your prospective market. Be sure to do your homework.

If you possess common sense the ability to learn new skills are enthusiastic about taking risks or have the courage to venture into the unknown and the persistence to continue you should be able to overcome the initial lack of expertise and be wildly successful. Have faith in yourself and determine come what may you will have your own home business.

Resolve within yourself to meet the daily challenges with courage giving the best you have to give. Running a successful home business is not magic it is about finding the information you need then putting it into practice one step at a time.

Are You Disciplined For Success?

Are you achieving all the success you want in your life; if not do not expect success to fit into your current habits. You are going to have to adopt and develop new habits.

“You gain strength courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.” Eleanor Roosevelt

When you come to the realization that your current behavior has not brought you all the financial success the loving relationships the perfect health or the spiritual knowledge you desire it can be a pretty scary place to be. Life goes along we believe we are doing all that we can and then we realize those dreams and goals we had when we were younger are still a dream What Happened?

We are not taught how to encourage ourselves to become the giant success we dream of when we are kids. We are taught to go to school get a good job and work for the next 40 years. However many of us have come to the realization that is not the path to financial freedom or living the life of our dreams. 98 of people are retiring dead broke relying on others in order to survive in their retirement.

What can you do in order to live the life of your dreams? My solution to you today is to change your habits. Do not expect success to fit into your current habits because if you had the habits you needed you would already be there!

You need to develop a blueprint for your life. A blueprint gives you hope that what you dream can come true. Can you imagine a construction company attempting to build a skyscraper without a blueprint? You’re right! It would be a disaster! Most people attempt to build their life without a blueprint and we need one badly.

Once you have your blueprint you can then use your imagination to put yourself into the picture. You can go online find or create pictures that represent your blueprint to you and then post them around your environment so that you see them on a daily basis. My coach John Di Lemme calls that the “construction zone” because you are constructing your life. Once you see that picture it is actual evidence that it can come true. Then you can start to build the faith in yourself that you really can make it happen.

You own the title deed to your life it’s yours quit giving it away. You can stop giving it away by creating a blueprint and constructing that dream on a daily basis.

Just because you cannot see something does not mean that it does not exist. Evidence and confirmation surround you it exists somewhere you just aren’t seeing it. When you make a reservation for a flight for an exotic vacation with just a confirmation number alone you have faith that you are going to be able to get on a plane and fly off. You cannot see gravity only the result of gravity and we all have faith that gravity exists as a society we no longer question it. You need to learn to develop that kind of faith in yourself; that yes you can achieve the life of your dreams.

Develop your blueprint construct the pictures that support the blueprint and create the habits that will generate faith in yourself. Take that first step start the journey. It is well worth it.

I would love to hear about your blueprints what will your like your life to look like in five years? Will it be the same or dramatically different? Send me an email CarlaRetireWithCarla.com I would love to hear from you.

And to help you get started on your journey to create the discipline that will allow you to achieve all the success you desire I’d like you to claim your Instant Access to My Teleclass Recordings by visiting http://www.RetireWithCarla.com

All About Pre-employment Background Screening

Almost every employer has had the experience where they said to themselves “If I had only known this person’s background _____would have never have happened. The blank can be filled in with words like tragedy lawsuit injury or even death. The bottom line is the best predictor of the future is the past. As an employer you want to protect your business and it’s employees from legal action or physical harm by detecting potential problems BEFORE the hiring offer is made. Preemployment PE screening is an effective risk management tool that has been proven to significantly reduce the risk of a “bad hire”. Employers engage in PE screening for many reasons: To DISCOURAGE APPLICANTS with something to hide. It is estimated that about 33 of the people who apply for a job put false

information on the application…from adding to their education or leaving out a criminal record. To ELIMINATE UNCERTAINTY in the hiring process. You don’t have to wonder if you did the right thing by hiring this person.
To demonstrate DUE DILLIGENCE. Employers have a reasonable duty to show care in the hiring process. That means an employer MUST take reasonable steps to determine if this employee is fit for a particular job.
It is COST EFFECTIVE. A company can spend a great deal of money to train a new hire only to learn that person is not right for the job. The cost of a PE screening is small when considering the cost to litigate a neglent hiring or retention suit.
It is important to understand that a PE screening is aimed at how a person performed in the public aspect of his life with respect to former employers his criminal record and education…this is not an invasion of their privay. You have the right to know who is working for you.

As an employer you need to know that a “bad hire” may result in: Lawsuits by a third party or current employees.Violence in the work place loss of business customers or both.Theft embezzlement or even property damage.Time wasted in training.

The list goes on and on…but I think you get the idea.

Now that you know why it is important to have a PE screening program in place or improve the one you have now what? In house or out source? Who to out source to? All excellent questions which I will try to answer.

There is a growing trend among profitable companies to out source services that do not represent the company’s core strength. It is an ineffective use of their time AND energy to attempt to perform services that a third party can perform efficiently and cost effectively. To do PE screening in house a company would have to devote time to learning the many complicated state and Federal laws that goven what you can and cannot access. Laws such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act FCRAthe Drivers Privacy Protection Act DPPA HIPPA and the GrannLeachBliley Act to mention a few. An honest mistake made by a good employee doing the PE screening could result in a Civil Rights Violation suit filled by the applicant. If that were not enough more valuable time is spent tracking down the past employers references or education institutions listed on the application. Don’t you have better things to do with your companies time than play “phone tag”?

Now that the decision to out source has been made you need to go to a professional preemployment screening service. I recommend locating a LICENSED private investigation agency. No they are not like the guys on TV thank heaven. The vast majority are former law enforcement or federal agents who know the importance of PE checks and have knowledge of the laws I mentioned earlier. Ture there are hundreds of companies that will gladly take your money and access basically the same database that are availabe to you on the web. Mostif not all private investigators use database companies that are ONLY available to licensed professionals. Sometimesthe information obtained is not complete a pirvate investigator will to go the local court house to pull a record…not to many on line companies will do that. Some agencies will customize the searches so you are getting only what you pay for and neeed.

By turning your PE needs to a licensed private investigator you are freeing your HR department of this time consuming and specalized task so they can devote their time to the many vital functions of a HR department. Now the employee that your have given the task of PE screening is free to do your companies business. The best way to locate a licensed private investigator is by going to the National Association of Legal Investigators web site or your states private investigators professional web site.
