Home Business Global Marketing Checklist

It amazes me how wide open the world is for work at home marketing opportunities thanks to the Internet. What we do at our computer affects people on the other side of the world just as easily as those living next door. However how we affect those people may be different than we think. The following list will assist in making sure that the legitimate business contacts we have with others is mutually profitable.

1. Learn from different cultures. People have different insights and experiences and can offer valuable information with operating a home business especially when marketing in other parts of the world.

2. English is not everyone’s primary language. People who use English as a secondary language do not always translate the same. They may misunderstand words that can have more than one meaning. Be considerate of this when communicating with people in other countries.

3. Marketing physical products is not possible in all parts of the world due to additional costs. If you’re selling make sure the company’s products you are marketing include information or resource products which can be obtained via the internet. Training and “howto” information can be invaluable for every home business. These kinds of products along with physical products allow a choice for everyone to purchase.

4. The products you are marketing should be available for purchase in different currencies. Thanks to the hightech advances in banking and the use of credit cards much of the currency exchange is processed by the credit card companies. Purchasing goods from other parts of the world has become much easier.

5. Plan for time differences. With all the time zones people we contact in different parts of the world are not able to respond immediately.

6. Give others the “benefit of the doubt”. Cultural differences can affect how your communication is perceived. For example responses from others can seem rude or impolite when that is not the intention.

7. Make friends with people in other parts of the world. Learn about their culture and the places where they live. This can be a very rewarding part of operating a home business in a global marketplace.

A good home business opportunity will provide training and marketing resources to assist in the Global Marketplace. A large network of experienced affiliates should be available usually through internet discussion groups so that anyone can learn how to succeed no matter where you live!

Check out any opportunity and make sure you are comfortable with the services and support they provide. Many of the people you work with over the internet will be from different parts of the world. This can and should be an exiting part of your business!

Home Business Blog Of A Mad Housewife Is Making A Ristra On Wednesday Morning Good For Business?

I think the real question here is whether taking time out for fun during “normal business hours” is good for your home business. I um kind of did that today. You see I have this new home business which is why I also have this new home business blog because my sponsor told me I needed one and so I am still mastering the art of doing justice to the business while honoring what I like to tell myself are my needs for personal fulfillment and satisfaction.

Personal fulfillment and satisfaction are the reasons I got into this home based business in the first place so if I can’t honor them then what good am I?

Let’s put it like this. I was going crazy in my other former life. Never getting ahead bowing and scraping feeling no sense of accomplishment whatsoever. Then I met my sponsor and totally fell in love with her and everything she stood for and was doing. And knew that if she could do it I could too. So I dove off into my new network marketing home based business with her. And started this silly home business blog as per her instructions.

But I’m getting off track here. What does all this have to do with making a ristra on Wednesday morning? What IS a ristra anyway one might ask. Well to get that question out of the way a ristra is a string of red chile peppers like one might see in ads for fancy hotels or spas in the Southwest. So anyway back to the original question.

You see around the same time I started my home based business and home business blog I also started a Wednesday morning Spanish class. I mean alllll morning speaking only Spanish. Fortunately this class is held in a neighbor’s home and she is a good teacher so in spite of the fact that it fries your brain by about the second hour it is on the whole a really great experience. And I think I am enhancing my Spanishspeaking skills infintessimally each week. Maybe.

I’m still not getting to the point. Sorry. You see some weeks our class time includes doing something practical like gardening or this week making a ristra! Because it is fall and the chile peppers are red and that’s what people around here do this time of year new to me I just moved here . . .. Well it was really fun! I mean like majorly! So of course now there is the question of how guilty to feel for having fun during business hours doing something totally unrelated to one’s business instead of just studying Spanish which one might feel guilty enough about on its own. So to resolve the dilemma I decided the issue simply must end up in my home business blog. Perhaps there I will find some solace or someone will commend me for studying a foreign language or will tell me that we all need appropriately spaced breaks from work no matter when they occur or what our work may be. Stuff like that.

I’m not really sure where I’m going with all this. I think I’ve written myself into a corner here in this home business blog. So I think I will just here and now unilaterally decide and state openly that making a ristra on Wednesday morning is very good for business because it nourishes the soul. How’s that.

I haven’t checked with my sponsor yet but I think I will now recommend to my soontobecomehuge downline that they do the same. I mean maybe not build ristras on Wednesday mornings but do some equivalently frivolous act offschedule. After all we’re in this for personal fulfillment and satisfaction. Stay tuned . . . mattie mcnutt

Home-Based Business Is It Right For You?

What does it take to be successful in this field? Ambition personal drive motivation desire and perseverance are the forerunners. Without these all the skills and experience in the world will not enable you to succeed. However combine those with your personal skills and experience and you will have what it takes.

Also take into account the following: Are you ambitious constantly striving for more fulfillments in life? Are you not fully satisfied until you have done your absolute best? If so working from home is for you. There are no limitations. The more you put into the business the more you will get out of it. You control your paycheck. Only you can determine what follows that dollar sign on your tax return each year.

Are you a selfstarter? You alone are the one who will make this business a success or failure. The amount of time and energy you invest will determine just how successful you are with your business. Are you motivated enough to make things happen? In the beginning stages a business will require a tremendous amount of hard work and long hours often without immediate results. You need to be willing to invest that time and await the results with confidence.

Are you creative? Can you think of a new idea and within days make it a reality? What a joy it is to tap that inner imagination and create a new idea for your business. Whether it is an effective advertising piece or a dazzling brochure for your clients you have the power to make it work.

You should be selfmotivated and enjoy working with others. Many of you will come from a 95 job and the general tendency is to cut loose with the extra freedom. No BossNo Time RestraintsWhat fun! You have to discipline yourself right from the beginning not to get sidetracked watching soaps and sleeping in. After you are established your workload will not permit this anyway.

Working with different clients is a part of owning your own business. Remember a satisfied client will tell other potential clients about your services. You need to possess the ability to make your clients feel confident and secure in your services and comfortable working with you.

You cannot fold under pressure. Owning your own business can be extremely stressful at times. There are no bosses to run to or coworkers to seek advice from. The computers will break faxes will jam clients will become too demanding and you must know how to handle the situation and stay calm. NEVER PANIC! Learn to take a deep breath regain your composure and then solve the problem.

You should be organized and have a good understanding of the business you are going into. Many companies fail because they did not do their homework. Read as much as you can on homebased businesses before you get started. Research your area to determine the needs of the customers and the amount of competition.

You need to be able to say NO! Clients will take advantage of you if you do not. You have to remain in control or you will find yourself working outrageous hours for little profit. Decide what hours you want to work and stick to that schedule.

Owning your own business can be an exciting and rewarding adventure. There is a tremendous feeling of accomplishment when you land your first client or make that first sale. It is the kind of feeling that you just want to keep getting over and over again.

Excuses Excuses

Just how badly do you want this? What is holding you back? People present all kinds of excuses for why they should not start a homebased business. Fear is the most common. Fear of failure fear of financial insecurity fear of responsibility and fear of change are the most frequently stated. Let us look at these for a moment and see if they apply to you.

Fear of Failure: Most of us fear failure. It is natural. Who wants to fail at anything? Besides if you do not try you cannnot fail and you will not have to deal with those negative emotions. Successful entrepreneurs see failure as an opportunity. They believe that there is no such thing as failure only lessons.

You should learn valuable lessons from each of your mistakes. What did you do wrong that could be corrected next time? Never dwell on your mistakes. Solve the problem and plan a new course of action.

You can also prevent the risk of failure by being aware of why most homebased or small businesses fail and then guard against these things. The following are several reasons many businesses fail:

1.Lack of enthusiasm motivation dedication and drive
2.Lack of selfconfidence
3.Lack of knowledge and expertise
4.Lack of management skills necessary to run a successful business
5.Lack of providing clients with quality and professional services
6.Lack of a professional attitude
7.Lack of a market for services

Remember that success takes time. Very few businesses are overnight successes. It takes work rethinking of ideas and carrying out your plans. Think of success as a marathon not a sprint.

Fear of Financial Insecurity: This is a valid concern for those leaving the security of a fulltime job with a regular paycheck every week. There is no guarantee that every week you will make a certain amount of money. However you can take steps that will enable you to make it through the slow times until your business is up and running. Do not let your paycheck addiction seriously interfere with your dream of entrepreneurship. Keep in mind that you could be downsized fired laid off let go given the pink slip you get my point tomorrow so take control of your future now!

Have two or three months of money in reserve to help you through the first few months. This alleviates the stress of having to make money NOW! Many start a business on a parttime basis and continue working their fulltime jobs to keep money coming in and to build their client base. However let this stop you from starting a business. After being in business now for 20 years and seeing so many businesses succeed I know many who have made it without this extra money.

Fear of Responsibility: Many are frightened by the role of sole responsibility. They like the option of going to someone else when a crisis hits and having that person solve the problem. With everything falling on their shoulders they fear they cannot handle the stress. Advance planning is the key here. When you start your business have a good backup plan in effect. Then when a crisis hits you immediately know what to do. After the first few crisis situations you learn to remain calm and solve problems with little effort.
